Introducing Step 13
Step 13 are a heady mix of dance breaks, powerful rhythms and rock 'n' roll attitude for the mind and for the feet. Formed out of the wider Step 13 collective in 2004, the band have stormed venues from East London's Cargo and Rhythm Factory to Bristol's Clockwork and festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown, Waveform, Sunrise and many others. Comprising 100% live drums, floor-shaking bass, astringent guitar and keyboard riffery, synth madness and the unique vocals of MC Ishu, Step 13 are a shot in the arm of the UK's live dance scene.
"Loving the tracks guys, Barstool is baaaaad!" - Just Jack
"The ones to watch for 2010" - Electronic Beats magazine
"What differentiates Step 13 from most other bands around is the way they manipulate the mood of the crowd like the very best DJs. They grab your attention and lift you up with their epic opener, space you out with laid-back grooves, then get everyone jumping around with infectious raggamuffin exuberance, before bringing the place to a breathless, sweaty climax with full-on, hard-hitting mash-up music." - Ben Thrush (DOA)
